Grants

We help visionaries realize their dreams!

Over the past ten years, FASE has awarded more than $550,000.00 in grants and hundreds of hours of free virtual and in-person teacher training. Teachers and students throughout the United States, Canada, Latin America, and other countries have received training, free or discounted music, instruments and accessories, and other classroom materials.

In addition, FASE is proud to sponsor the George Bornoff Memorial Scholarship program in partnership with the National American String Teachers Association (ASTA). Three scholarships to attend the ASTA National Conference are awarded annually in the amount of $1,000 each to educators in their first five years of teaching.

Grant applications for 2023-2024 are open and are reviewed on a rolling basis and are reviewed by the Board of Directors within 3 weeks of submission.

FASE grants are awarded for a variety of needs including, but not limited to the following:
* Teacher Training - school district PD sessions, scholarships to attend Bornoff Workshops, individual mentorship, and pedagogy lessons
* Student Workshops and Program Growth Plans- our teachers will visit your classroom and help you implement the Bornoff Approach!
* Bornoff sheet music
* Institutional awards - for community El Sistema-inspired programming and development, projects such as student camps, workshops, or festivals

FASE grants are rarely awarded for:
* School instruments or accessories
* Non-Bornoff teaching materials
* School travel programs

FASE, Inc. grant awards will not support any programming that discriminates or discourages participation on the basis of race, gender, religion, national origin, disability, sexual orientation, or age in their enrollment or employment policies.

Each year, FASE distributes an average of over $60,000 each year to string programs and educators across the country!
