The Violin Sings

For violin, viola, cello, and bass, this supplementary solo book emphasizes the development of bow control and the use of idiomatic and stylistic bowing. This book uses familiar melodies quite suitable for public performance. It should be introduced after easier sections of Fun for Fiddle Fingers have been completed, and used simultaneously with the remaining sections of that book.

The violin and viola books remain primarily in first position. The cello and bass books use higher positions (including thumb positions and the tenor and treble clefs), and are correlated with Patterns in Position.
